On Call Support Services

Occasions arise when individuals need fast and timely mental health care. Sometimes people don’t need to go to an emergency room but they can’t wait for weeks to be seen by a provider. We offer next day appointments for urgent mental healthcare needs.

Our clinicians can provide same day assessments, recommendations, and documentation to inform and facilitate next steps. This service is not intended for individuals needing emergency care due to imminent, life-threatening risk. In emergency cases, families should proceed immediately to the nearest emergency room or psychiatric hospital.

With on call support services, we offer collaboration with referring professionals (schools, clinicians, physicians, and attorneys) to coordinate care, provide necessary documentation and/or communication of recommendations for support.

  • How On Call Support Works

Families and individuals may self-refer or be referred by someone else. We often receive referrals from community agencies, school counselors, administrators, attorneys, or physicians.

An appointment is scheduled directly by calling or texting our office at (757) 319-4560. We do our very best to schedule an appointment as soon as possible (usually the same day or within 48 business hours).

The client or family will come to our office in Norfolk, where a clinician will assesses the individual and provide appropriate support during the appointment.

On Call Services are a one-time appointment that lasts up to 2 hours. The clinician provides same day recommendations for next steps and appropriate short term resources to support individuals and families. Upon request, we will provide relevant documentation to coordinate care and follow-up.

A per-visit flat fee of $300.00 covers all aspects of this service. This is a self-pay service; we do not take insurance.
